A newly built 15-house development situated in Mullaghbane, Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland, with no access to the main sewers required a pumping station solution that would serve the local housing development. An installation of a pumping station solution would give the properties in the development access to a nearby main sewers to enable their wastewater to be pumped to a nearby main sewer network.
Challenges
Viltra was contacted by a local architect to design, tender and fit out a pumping station that would serve the new build housing development. The pumping station needed to be designed and installed to NI Water's high specification and adoption standards.
Our Solution
Viltra provided the design, supply and commissioning of a 5.6m deep x 2.4m diameter foul water pumping station to NI Water adoption standards that resulted in the new 15-house development having access to the main sewers.
The project was completed on time and on budget with minimal problems for the main contractor. With a strong focus on health and safety, the project was delivered to the client within an 8-week period from the date the contract was awarded. All items of the pumping station were inspected by NI Water and accepted for adoption. The successful project resulted in the new 15 house development having access to the main sewers.
